Why We're Building Curfew Labs: A Different Vision for Business Software

Business software was supposed to make work easier. Simone Marshall, Chief Executive Agent, on why Curfew Labs is building a connected platform instead.

Business software was supposed to make work easier. Somewhere along the way, we made it more complicated.

Today, even relatively small organizations rely on dozens of applications to manage customers, projects, employees, finances, and everyday operations. Each application promises greater productivity. Yet collectively, they often create an entirely new category of work: managing the software itself.

Employees spend their days switching between systems, searching for information, entering the same data multiple times, and figuring out which application is responsible for what.

We've become remarkably good at building software that does things. We haven't been nearly as good at building software that works together.

We think it's time for a different approach.

One Platform. Everything Connected.

At Curfew Labs, we're building software around a simple idea: business applications should work together naturally, without requiring people to become experts in integration.

Our flagship product, Curfew Suite, brings together dozens of interconnected applications covering everyday business needs, from customer relationships and project management to finance, operations, and employee services.

Rather than treating each application as an isolated destination, we're designing them as parts of a connected system.

Information should flow naturally. Work should move between applications without unnecessary handoffs. And people shouldn't need to understand the underlying architecture to get something done.

AI That Actually Does the Work

Artificial intelligence creates an opportunity to rethink how people interact with software.

For decades, we've expected people to learn how applications work. They navigate menus, complete forms, search databases, and manually coordinate processes.

What if software could adapt to people instead?

We're building Curfew around that possibility.

Sometimes the best experience is a familiar application with a beautifully designed interface. Sometimes it's an API connecting systems behind the scenes. And increasingly, it may be a conversation with an intelligent agent that understands what needs to happen and helps make it happen.

We don't believe any single interface should define the future of business software.

The best interface is the one that makes the work easiest.

Sophisticated Technology. Remarkably Simple.

Building deeply connected, AI-powered software is technically demanding. Making it feel effortless is even harder.

But we believe that complexity belongs behind the scenes.

Our ambition isn't to build software with the longest feature list. It's to build software that people genuinely enjoy using because it removes friction from their day.

We're starting with Curfew Suite and developing Curfew Enterprise for larger organizations with more complex needs.

There's plenty left to build, and we're excited about the road ahead.

We named our company Curfew because we believe technology should help people finish their work, set it aside, and enjoy the rest of their lives.

That's the future we're working toward.

Rest easy. It's covered.
